Camp Fire Heartland is one of the leading youth development organizations serving the Kansas City community, offering engaging all-day summer camps for youth ages 5–14. Our programs help young people discover their “spark” through hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, leadership development, and creative learning in a safe and welcoming environment.
We offer two summer day camp locations in the Kansas City metro area:
• Downtown Kansas City Camp – Kansas City, KS
• South Overland Park Camp – Overland Park, KS
Our all-day summer camps run Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, providing flexible schedules for working families while giving youth a full day of adventure, learning, and friendship.
Campers participate in a wide variety of activities, including archery, nature exploration, water play, creative arts, STEM challenges, outdoor games, hiking, and leadership-building activities. Each week features themed experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, and teamwork while helping youth build independence and social-emotional skills.
At Camp Fire Heartland, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore, grow, and belong. Our programs are designed to build confidence, foster respect for nature, and create meaningful connections with peers and mentors.

Scholarships and financial assistance are available to help families participate in our Kansas City and Overland Park summer camps, because we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, explore nature, build friendships, and grow in confidence throughout the summer.
