Camps For Kids Wins Philly Award
Website Wins First Place in the under $3-Million Category
KANSAS CITY, November 14, 2019. Camps For Kids was honored to receive a 2019 Philly Award last night. The organization won the first-place award for their website in the nonprofit communications category. This year Nonprofit Connect, the group behind the Philly Awards, received nearly 200 entries from over 100 nonprofit organizations.
Camps For Kids works to assure no Kansas City area child will be turned away from summer camp because of low income, or physical or developmental disabilities. The Camps For Kids camp network includes 20 camps which serve children from 5 to 18 years of age with disabilities including children with spina bifida, cancer, neuromuscular diseases, diabetes, autism spectrum disorders, developmental and/or physical challenges, chronic kidney disease, congenital heart disease, children in foster care and/or children in financial need.
“We were thrilled to receive a Philly Award!” said Camps For Kids Executive Director, Regina A Weir. “Our website serves as a window into the rewarding and enriching work we get to do in service to so many remarkable camps and the wonderful children they serve from the Kansas City area. We are so proud to showcase what we do and who we have supporting the organization through our website.
The Awards were presented at the 2019 Philly Awards celebration, sponsored by Bank of Blue Valley and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, on Wednesday, November 13 at the Vox Theatre.
Gragg Adverting, located in the River Market District of Kansas City, designed, developed and hosts the Camps For Kids website.
